Biography: Rafiki is 20 years old and lives in Kigali with his family. Rafiki recently became a first-time father with the birth of his son, Jonathan Rafiki Uwimana (named after coach Jonathan Boyer). Rafiki also recently earned his drivers license, which will greatly increase his livelihood options. During the genocide of 1994, Rafiki escaped Kigali and lived with his grandmother. He was separated from his parents and siblings for five years after the genocide.
